Website rules to plan for

TopicWhat it means for your website
GDPRAny website that collects personal data needs a lawful basis and a clear privacy policy. Contact forms, analytics and embedded third-party content all count. We keep data collection minimal.
Cookies (ePrivacy)Non-essential cookies need prior consent under national ePrivacy rules (in Germany, § 25 TDDDG). Cookieless analytics and avoiding third-party embeds can reduce what needs consent.
ImpressumIn Germany, commercial websites need an Impressum under § 5 DDG (formerly the TMG) with name, address, contact details and, where relevant, register and VAT numbers. Austria has similar rules (ECG/MedienG).
European Accessibility ActSince 28 June 2025, many consumer-facing digital services, including e-commerce, must meet accessibility requirements. Microenterprises providing services (under 10 staff and up to €2 million turnover) are exempt (Directive (EU) 2019/882), but accessible design is still good practice.
SwitzerlandThe revised Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG/revFADP) has applied since 1 September 2023, with transparency duties similar to the GDPR.

Common questions

Do you work in German?

Yes. We design German-language and bilingual German/English websites. See our German pages.

Do you charge in euros?

Our prices are in US dollars ($150 for the first page, $50 for each extra page). You can pay a Payoneer invoice by card or bank transfer, and your bank or card provider handles the conversion.

Can you write my Impressum and privacy policy?

We build the pages and structure, but the legal text should come from you, a lawyer or a reputable generator, because you're responsible for its accuracy.
